This itinerary will take you through the mightiest forts and highlights of Rajasthan – including the pink, blue and white cities, and a camel safari in the stunning Thar (Jaisalmer) desert.

Day 1: Start at Delhi with serene Humanyun’s Tomb and later catch the sound and light show at historic Red Fort. Party at night at

Day 2: Take the train to Jaipur. Start out in tHauz Kauz village.he old city (pink city) by exploring the colourful bazaars, and palaces. Later, go to Amber (Amer) Fort, to walk through palace-city, a wonder of the 9th Century.

Day 3 & 4: Get onto a bus for Ajmer and visit the much revered Durgah (a dazzling Muslim shrine), then take a bus to Pushkar (10 km from Ajmer). Spend a couple days relaxing in this (traveller fav) holy town with ancient temples and lakeside cafés.

Day 5, 6 & 7: Travel to the lake city Udaipur. Go shopping in the colourful bazaars and spy a sunset from the balconies of one of the gorgeous palaces. Dine at the romantic, extraordinary Lake Palace.

Day 8: Pack your luggage into a taxi to Kulmalgarh, and Ranakpur temples, en route the blue city, Jodhpur.

Day 9 & 10: Spend a day browsing through the extravagant forts and unique architecture of blue coloured Jodhpur.

Day 11: Move further into the desert terrain Jaisalmer. Camel safari and night bonfire on the dunes should whet, if not quench your desert thirst.

Day 12: Back to Delhi. Visit the Jama Masjid and finish off last minute shopping.
